Young blind man bags master’s degree in Law, earns lecturer position

AbdulHakeem Mobolaji AbdulLateef, a 53-year-old scholar, has achieved an extraordinary academic feat by obtaining his eighth master’s degree with a remarkable 4.70 grade point average and being recognized as the best graduating student at the University of Lagos, Nigeria.

His academic journey began with a bachelor’s degree in Law at the University of Lagos, followed by a Master of Law at the same university. Subsequently, he pursued and obtained seven more master’s degrees from various universities across the world, including a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Business School Netherlands, Nigeria, a Master of Public Administration (MPA),

a Master in Management from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom, a Master in Strategic Planning from Heriot-Watt University’s Edinburgh Business School, also in the United Kingdom, and a master’s degree from Anglia Ruskin University, United Kingdom.

His most recent achievement is the Executive Master of Non-Interest (Islamic) Finance (EMNIF) from the University of Lagos, Nigeria, where he graduated with a distinction and emerged as the best graduating student of the 2023 class of the master’s program.
