Popular Nigerian comedian and actor, Debo Adedayo Adebowale, better known as Mr Macaroni, has expressed utmost joy as he was bestowed with an honorary doctorate degree from a prestigious university, Precious Cornerstone, in Ibadan.
Mr Macaroni, who is known for his explicit role of a political figure cum sugar daddy called ‘Daddy wa’ shared the good news with his fans via his social media page.
The comic star was honoured as the doctor of creative writing (Honoris Causa) at the 2nd convocation ceremony of the university, which held on November 11.
The 30-year-old star is known for his unwavering support for the #EndSars protest in 2020. Debo used his platform and presence at various protest venues to advocate against police brutality – even after becoming a victim as a result.
In his recent post, he wrote, “Dr Macaroni. 👨🏾🎓🎉.I am deeply honored to be considered worthy at the discretion of the Senate and Council of The Precious Corner Stone University Ibadan to be deemed deserving of public recognition and award of the prestigious degree of DOCTOR OF CREATIVE WRITING (HONORIS CAUSA)”
